"Sometimes, we have to wait for up to 4-5 hours because there are no hearses available, and worse, some bodies have to wait overnight.." - Ms. Hajah Muji, owner of Rumah Orang Tua Al-Ikhlas.
The Elderly Care and Treatment Center Al Ikhlas, Puchong, Selangor, was established in 2000 as a center for the care and treatment of the elderly by Ms. Hajah Muji binti Sulaiman. This care center has 19 male residents and 26 female residents. Some of the residents have heirs and some do not. Some elderly residents here are abandoned and neglected by their children..
At present, the most urgent need for this home is the need for a hearse to manage bodies and ambulances/special vehicles to transport residents for treatment and emergencies. This care center also has 24 employees, including physiotherapists and nurses.
"Every time a resident who cannot walk receives treatment at the hospital, we have to rent an external ambulance for RM300-RM500 and sometimes, simultaneous appointments for several residents require us to rent 2-3 ambulances in a day.. The cost is too high for us to bear, especially when that money could be used for many other needs." - Ms. Hajah Muji
In this regard, Bahtera Amal is called upon to help realize the dream of this center's management together with #MalaysiaPrihatin. Bahtera Amal calls on #OrangPrihatin to help realize their dream of obtaining a Hearse and Ambulances for the use and convenience of the residents at the Elderly Care and Treatment Center Al Ikhlas, Puchong, Selangor. Let's help them!
